Ian Godfrey enjoyed a service apprenticeship with General Motors after which he was responsible for both marketing and service for various regions in the UK. He then became responsible for Dealer Development throughout Africa covering all aspects of General Motors’ vehicle operations for that continent. Following this, Ian spent three years with a UK export house during which he continued to travel extensively and became deeply involved in Aid financed business throughout the world, as well as local assembly operations. He then spent nearly four years working for a multi-franchise dealer/distributor in the Middle East being responsible for setting up their after-sales operations and a Dealer network throughout Saudi Arabia before being asked to move across to assist with developing their marketing operations. Since 1995 Ian has been using that breadth of experience to the benefit of CIP clients throughout the world.
Ray Perry is Executive Director of Brand, Profile and Marketing at CIMA. He is responsible for global brand development across CIMA’s markets including Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, China, Hong Kong, India, Southern Africa, Ireland and the UK. This involves marketing, communications and PR functions and responsibility for CIMA’s award winning website. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of CIMA’s monthly magazine, Financial Management, one of the largest finance magazines in the UK. Ray has over 25 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing at Dunlop plc, Swan House wares and Electrolux and has been a director of Spears Games, Mattel and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), where he was Chief Executive of the eCentre.
