The Dubai Quality
Group achieves ISO 9001/2000 Certification
In a presentation ceremony on Monday 4th February 2002, Mr
Tony Muncer, Area Manager, Middle East and Africa, Lloyds Register
presented the certificate of ISO 9001/2000 approval to His Highness
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Patron of the Dubai Quality
Group.

Dubai's First Comprehensive
e-Government Initiative Launched
Dubai's drive towards e-governance received a strong boost with
the Department for Economic Development announcing the launch of
its comprehensive portal yesterday, October 27th, 2001.
The fully automated, bilingual portal
(www.dubaided.gov.ae)
is the first comprehensive e-government initiative launched by
the Dubai Government and has been established in line with the
directives of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid
Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, UAE Defence Minister and Chairman
of the Department for Economic Development.

The Dubai Quality Group organized a sub-group for the advancement
of Business Women in the U.A.E. It was presided over by the Chairman
of DQG, Dr. Mansoor Al Awar and other DQG team members. The event

sector ranging from banking to the travel industry eagerly attended
the meeting.

Assessment
for the Dubai Quality Award
Applications for the Dubai Quality Award and Dubai Quality
Appreciation Programme will be evaluated in October and November
said Essa Kazim, Award Coordinator General, yesterday. Applications
for participation in the award will not be accepted after the
end of this month, he added.
