Professional Womens' Discussion Forum
DQG invited businesswomen from various organizations to form the DQG
Professional Women's Sub Group. The Group's first meeting was held at the Rotana Towers Hotel on 13th February 2001 between 11a.m to 1 p.m.
Dr Mansoor Al Awar, the Chairman of DQG addressed the Group. He shared with us the Objectives of DQG, the initiatives the organization is taking towards creating awareness, especially among the women and achieving excellence.
The main four objectives for DQG are to:
- Create Awareness
- Strengthen the Educational Institutions
- Conduct Research /create a Library
Improve on Quality of Service
To achieve their objectives the Dubai Quality Group has formed Sub-Groups, and invited innovative & creative people who are inclined towards making a change and achieving their objectives. Some of the sub- groups that have been formed are Health, Education, IT, HR and
Professional Women
The Professional Women's Sub-Group will primarily focus on
- creating professional ( Business ) awareness among the women in UAE
- list down the opportunities that are available
- finalize the calendar of events for the year 2001
- plan on action steps and responsibilities
- support the other DQG sub - groups
The primary objectives identified by the
Professional Women's Sub Group during the 1st meet were,
· to introduce a Crisis Center for Women
· initiate Career Advisory meetings
· Create awareness on Entrepreneur-ship for Women
· Share Best Practices
