Dubai observes global Quality standards – Share Best Practice Conference & Exhibition 2013 a huge success
Dubai is committed to achieving leadership at an international level by applying best global practices in order to attain quality, excellence and achieving sustainable economic growth, said a key figure of Dubai Quality Group (DQG).
Dr. Yousef Al-Akraf, Chairman of DQG on Sunday disclosed that companies need to identify the best practices in order to improve levels of performance, productivity, efficiency and services provided, in line with the government’s aspirations to move from customer satisfaction to customer delight through creative initiatives and applying best practices.
Dr. Al-Akraf was speaking during the annual Sharing Best Practices 2013 Conference and Exhibition that was also inaugurated by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Airports, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group.
This year’s event held under the theme ‘Creating Sustainable Excellence’ drew participants from many international private sector businesses from countries like the United Kingdom, Singapore, Turkey and Australia.
It also attracted a cross-section of key international speakers and award-winning companies from the UAE. The event aims to improve the quality and standards of service and promote excellence in performance in various institutions and businesses in Dubai. Speaking at the same event, Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economic Development, noted that the Dubai government remains committed to supporting and reinforcing cooperation with private sector businesses in order to ensure continued excellence and quality.
