Dubai Quality Group honoured women demonstrating leadership in various fields of business and technology in the 12th cycle of Emirates Women Awards.
Dubai (25th May 2015) United Arab Emirates; The Emirates Women Award 2015 (EWA), under the patronage of HH Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, honoured local and expatriate women achievers from diverse fields of business and technology on 25th May 2015 at The Address Downtown. The award ceremony, organized by the Dubai Quality Group, was graced by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and honorary patron of the Dubai Quality Group (DQG) and attended by dignitaries and businesswomen from across the country.
The EWA, now in its 12th year, continued to unfold and recognize inspirational women across business sectors and was also a motivator for the future generation of women to achieve their true potential and thereby empower their status in the society.
This year the participation was phenomenal with almost double the number of entries from last year. The winners were selected and verified by the prestigious EWA assessment jury after conforming to all criteria and conditions of the award. The participants were judged based on their leadership skills, strategic and financial planning, career achievements, community contribution and innovation. The criterion also included UAE citizenship or a valid residence permit (for non-citizens) with minimum three years of experience in their area of specialization. The award was drawn into two main categories — business owners and professionals from government private sectors.
Dr Yousuf Al Akraf, DQG chairman expressed his delight saying, “The award allows for self-assessment personally and professionally, it is a journey of self discovery and EWA will continue to provide support and motivation to every entrepreneur and professional in the UAE. I take this occasion to thank His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum for supporting Dubai Quality Group and I am happy to honor all the outstanding women who have achieved new heights in their fields, especially Emirati ladies, who are aggressively venturing into business and technology and creating a new Arab society which is modern and promising.
