Dubai, UAE, April 2022: HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), received a certificate of recognition and appreciation from the Dubai Quality Group (DQG). This is in recognition of DEWA’s platinum sponsorship of the group and its support to the Emirates Women Award for 10 consecutive years. DEWA is the main sponsor of the award.
Al Tayer received the certificate during the visit of Dr Hazza Khalfan Alnuaimi, Chairman of Dubai Quality Group, at DEWA’s headquarters. Waleed Bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence at DEWA, and Fatima Al Jokar, Legal Advisor and Chairperson of the Women's Committee at DEWA attended the meeting.
Al Tayer praised DQG’s efforts in spreading and consolidating a culture of innovation, promoting quality practices, institutional excellence and appreciating excellence and innovation, especially in facing challenges. Al Tayer highlighted DEWA’s commitment to collaborate with UAE organisations to achieve the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031 and the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to enhance the quality of life in Dubai and make the best place to live, work, and visit. Al Tayer highlighted the role of the Emirates Women Award for recognising the talented women and showcasing their effective role in the growth of the Emirati society.
